The follow-up to the visual novel (and anime) Stein’s Gate continues the story of the Future Gadget Laboratory.

Final Fantasy XV (Xbox One, PS4)

The long awaited Final Fantasy XV (previously Final Fantasy 13 Versus) is an open world RPG adventure with combat that can be completely realtime, or played in a wait mode which pauses the action waiting for player input. The series launches alongside anime series Brotherhood and CG movie Kingsglaive both of which provide much needed backstory to the game.

Super Mario Maker (3DS)

The 3DS version of Super Mario Maker brings the game to the portable platform for all those who didn’t have a Wii U.

Dragon Ball Fusions is the RPG in which new characters Tekka and Pinch use the dragon balls to wish for the greatest martial arts tournament ever. Fusions in which characters from the series combine into new stronger characters are a major part of the combat system.

Mario Party Star Rush (3DS)

The second Mario Party game for the 3DS. New additions include the Toad Scramble mode in which all players move during the same turn and amiibo support.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization (PS4, Vita)

The fourth game in this alternate take on the Sword Art Online series takes the mock-mmo-rpg gameplay from the previous titles and expands on the character interactions. The player’s party can now contain 4 players (up from 3) and any of the 300 NPCs in the game world can be recruited.

Dragon Ball Z Xenoverse 2 (Xbox One, PS4)

Xenoverse 2 is the follow-up to the original DBZ themed time travel arena fighter. The game features 68 playable characters, a number of new hub areas, and a new story that takes place 2 years after the initial game.

World of Final Fantasy (PS4, Vita)

World of Final Fantasy is the turn based RPG in which new characters interact with the characters and monsters of the previous Final Fantasy games. The player will use monsters as allies and can change between regular and chibi sized characters which has a impact on traversal and combat.

Yomawari: Night Alone (Vita)

Yomawari: Night Alone is a 2d adventure horror title in which the main character goes searching for her lost dog and sister and ends up in a strange version of her town. The special edition release also includes the spiritual prequel htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary.

Dragon Quest Builders takes the building aspect of games like Minecraft and surrounds it with the universe of the first Dragon Quest game for a unique 3rd person RPG/Survival/Crafting game.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (Xbox One, PS4)

The definitely version of MGS:V include the Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes as well as the updates put out since release.

Valkyire Drive: Bhikkhuni (Vita)

Valkyire Drive is the new game from the creator of the Senran Kagura series. The game features female characters who are infected with a virus that cause them to transform into weapons when sexually aroused. Like the Senran Kagura series the game is a 3rd person action game.

Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live (PS4/VR)

This download only title let’s the player experience songs from Miku’s concerts as part of the crowd. Gameplay consists of shaking your glowstick in time with the music in order to unlock bonus performances.

Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors (Vita)

The sequel to the original Criminal Girls features a new cast of girls seeking redemption in the afterlife. The RPG has the player punish the girls to encourage them to perform better in combat.

Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters: Daybreak Special Gigs (PS4, PS3, Vita)

Daybreak Special Gigs is an updated version of the visual novel/srpg that was originally only available on the PS3 and Vita. The game stars a group of ghost fighting exorcists in Tokyo.

Shin Megami Tensei 4: Apocalypse (3DS)

The sequel to Shin Megami Tensei 4 takes place directly after the end of the original RPG and continues the story.

Mystery Chronicle: One Way Heroics (PS4)

Limited Run (a distributor who sells popular digital games as small print run physical copies online) releases their first Japanese game: Chunsoft’s auto-scrolling rouge-like One Way Heroics.

Comcept’s Recore is a third person action adventure where the player can swap cores of different machines in order to help in combat and solve puzzles.

Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness (PS4, Vita)

Mandatory Happiness is a visual novel side story to the original Psycho Pass anime which takes place during the first arc of the show.

Dragon Quest 7: Fragments of the Forgotten Past (3DS)

The 3DS version of Dragon Quest 7 is a complete remake of the original game. It’s been updated to be more similar to Dragon Quest 8 and features an all new translation.

The Dead Rising Triple pack includes updated versions of the first 2 Dead Rising games and the spin off “Off the Record”. Case West and Case Zero were not updated. Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2 will also be made available on physical copies in the next two weeks, but Off the Record will remain digital only.
